This wine, Made by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, comes from the best vineyards in two of Chile’s most highly reputed wine growing areas. Complex, elegant, fresh and generous, the nose reveals sustained raspberry, blackcurrant and blackberry aromas, nicely accompanied by more subtle notes of blond tobacco, spice and mocha.
The Escudo Rojo Red Wine has an attractive, dense, bright and deep ruby red.
Escudo Rojo is a blended wine made from four different grape varieties. Cabernet Sauvignon (40%) and cabernet franc (5%), traditional Bordeaux varieties, give refinement and tannic power, while carmenere (37%) and syrah (18%) bring body, density and a touch of spice.

The attack is elegant, round and full-flavoured. Mature, tightly knit tannins reveal all the character of the terroir. Suggestions of blackberry fruit, cherry and pepper gradually emerge, perfectly combined with roasted, toasted notes.
It has an intense flavour of wine with rounded, soft and silky tannins, completed a long and refreshing aftertaste. The aroma of wine is filled with notes of ripe blueberries, blackberries and black cherries combined with subtle hints of vanilla, dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans.
Escudo Rojo Syrah is a dry red wine that has a bright bouquet, very well with meat dishes. For making wine producer uses imbued hot sun Chilean Syrah grapes. In the beverage industry uses the so-called technique of Bordeaux. It is this flexibility finds the taste of wine, fruity and well balanced tannic structure. Before bottling the wine aged in oak barrels for 6-8 months.
